Following last year’s FA Level 1 and 2 course re-launches, The FA’s UEFA B will now take on a new look - one that’s all about development, for both a learner and their players.

Including more one-to-one contact time with tutors in their own club environment, learners will experience a course that is completely tailored to them.

Specialist content such as video analysis, player development concepts, practice design and coaching behaviours will drive a learner’s development beyond that of The FA Level 2 in Coaching Football.

This fresh approach is designed to build a learner’s confidence while supporting their progression on the coaching pathway and, potentially, into careers.

Tony McCallum, national coach development manager, explains why The FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football has experienced this revamp. “At The FA, we’re always working to make football a better place for all, whether it’s playing, coaching, refereeing - we’re consistently looking for ways to enhance it,” he said.
“By reviewing and then re-launching courses, it ensures that the experience the learner receives is modern, relevant and considered.

“This latest UEFA B course was redeveloped utilising the latest research in adult learning, trends in coaching and the key messages of the England DNA so we’re confident learners will build their knowledge, skills and behaviours in a suitable way while also enjoying themselves.”

The planning and coordination of the course will now be carried out by County FAs on a local level. This means that learners will be able to apply for a course in their region, making it more accessible than ever before.
